Newest glass fun

The kiln experiments have been a blast. Some are spectacular and some are spectacular fails but all are a learning chance. Glass is such a change from the metal and wood that I’m used to as a medium. I can bend, sand and fill wood and metal. They are easily changed if i don’t like the results. Not the case with the glass, screw up and no fixing that just new parts for other projects or extra for melting blobs. The flowers are beautiful. I bought a mold to try (I’m now making my own variations from recycled metal) and could not be more pleased with the end product. Pleased to say i was invited to a show for my glass, wood and metal mix art and have 12 pieces on display at Bear Street Gallery in Santa Ana California. I will send invites for the show opening.2013-05-21_06-37-53_973
